Overdraft Privilege
Life happens! We understand that unexpected overdrafts happen from time to time. Overdraft Privilege can help.
The best way to avoid overdrafts is good account management, but occasionally overdrafts occur. Overdraft Privilege allows you to overdraw your account up to the disclosed limit in order to pay a transaction.*
Overdraft Privilege Standard Coverage covers:
-
Checks
-
Automatic debits
-
Recurring debit card payments
-
Online Bill Pay items
-
Teller window transactions
If you choose Extended Coverage, ATM withdrawals and everyday debit card transactions will be covered. To consent to Overdraft Privilege Extended Coverage, print the Extended Coverage Consent Form, complete it and bring it by any Liberty Bank location, call us at (256)659-2175, email us at internetbanking@libertybankal.com, or, if you are a Liberty Bank Online Banking customer, send a message using your Online Banking secure messaging.

*Accounts will be charged the standard Overdraft fee of $25 for handling each overdraft created by check, ACH, Point-of-Sale, ATM withdrawal, in-person withdrawal, or other electronic item that is paid and $25 for items returned. If your account balance remains overdrawn for longer than five business days, the account will be charged a negative balance fee of $5 for each of the consecutive business days the account remains overdrawn, beginning with day five. An overdrawn balance must be repaid within 32 days. We may not pay items under your Overdraft Privilege if you do not maintain your account in good standing by bringing your account to a positive balance within every thirty-two (32) day period for a minimum of 1 business day, if you default on any loan or other obligation to Liberty Bank or if your account is subject to any legal or administrative order or levy.
